Explore self-love →What is guided meditation?
Guided meditation is a practice where a teacher's voice leads you through the experience — settling the breath, directing attention, offering visualization or affirmation — rather than sitting in silence on your own. It's often easier to begin with than unguided meditation, since there's nothing to figure out: you simply follow along and let the practice do the work of bringing you back to the present moment.
Benefits of a regular practice
You don't need a daily hour-long ritual to feel the effects. Even a few minutes, a few times a week, can shift how you move through the rest of your day. With consistency, people often notice:
- Lower overall stress and a calmer nervous system, even outside of practice
- Better sleep — both falling asleep more easily and staying asleep longer
- More self-compassion and a quieter inner critic
- Greater ability to notice anxious thoughts without being swept up in them
- A steadier, more grounded way of starting the day
There's no perfect way to begin — pick whatever you're drawn to above, press play, and let the practice meet you where you are today.
